Meet The Team: Co-Owner Pete
Two years ago, Pete and his equally brilliant partner, Jade, took over ownership of Peppers Creek Barrel Room and Chapel. So much has been upgraded, revamped, and otherwise given new life in this time (hello new menu, dedicated wedding coordinators, onsite sensory garden, virtual tours, Pash & Dash elopements, in-house micro wedding packages, decadent tasting nights, and fireworks!), and we’ve since received some of the loveliest and most uplifting feedback from our couples. Coincidence? Unlikely.
In many ways, Pete is the epitome of a unifying leader - discerning, calm, proactive, and committed to giving all those who say ‘I do’ at our venue the most seamless, love-filled, and memorable experience possible. Essentially, he leads by example. Ever the forward-thinking ideas man, he’s also worked in the hospitality industry for more than two decades, overseeing the day-to-day operations of several clubs across the Hunter and coordinating multimillion dollar commercial renovations since 2001.
Pete’s first foray into the wedding world, however, was via Jade’s flowers and styling business. In years gone by, he spent many early mornings lifting furniture and packing vans, and many even earlier mornings assisting with midnight bump-outs. He still lends a helping hand during peak season!
When he’s not repainting the chapel floor the day prior to a wedding (which he has done several times on a steadfast mission to remove the stubbornest of stains) or tucking into Chef Lee’s pork belly, Pete can be found hiking, at the beach, or in an ice bath.
