Seasons Of The Hunter Valley

We may be a little biased, but we can’t think of a more romantic, tranquil or naturally beautiful place to say ‘I do’ than the Hunter Valley. It’s got it all - panoramic views of undulating vineyard landscapes, grazing cattle and lush farmland, innovative paddock to plate produce and many, many world-famous wineries. It’s a pretty special place to get married any time of year. Each season offers something a bit different to the last!

Summer

Harvest time! December - February in the Hunter Valley is vibrant and warm, promising a near-endless run of balmy days and star-filled evenings (minus a thunderstorm or two). There’s lot to look at, taste, and experience - all with a crisp, cool white in hand!

Automn

A photographer’s delight! Many of the vine leaves turn a brilliant orangey-red during March - May and the brisk weather lends itself well to cosy nights in.

Winter

Even with the dormant, leaf-less grapevines, the Hunter Valley is a sight to be seen from June - August. Clear blue skies, mild temperatures and sprawling fields of winter grass and flowers make for the prettiest pictures and fondest memories. The region isn’t short of fireplaces either - perfect for beating the evening chill!

Spring

It’s hard to beat budding vines and blossoming vineyards. Delicate foliage and rolling green hills blanket the Hunter Valley during September - November. Flowers are everywhere too!
