What We Love About Spring In The Hunter Valley
Spring is the most popular time to say ‘I do’ in Australia - and it’s not hard to understand why. It’s warmer, the evenings are lighter and star-filled, and all the blossoming flowers and colourful fresh produce feel like sunshine for the soul after several months of grey and chill. Here at Peppers Creek, our jasmine-covered arch leading to the chapel looks and smells particularly stunning towards the end of the year. A photographer’s dream!
What else is so special about this season? We’re so glad you asked.
Spring is synonymous with hope and new beginnings
This psychology lends itself beautifully to weddings. Everything outside begins to grow again in September and our insides tend to follow suit too, with many inspired to make positive changes and ‘start fresh’. Getting married is perhaps the ultimate (and loveliest!) symbol of love and optimism.
Spring is in full bloom
Daffodils, delicate lavender, tulips, orchids, sweetly perfumed peonies, and garden roses in every shade of the rainbow are all on offer. There’s no better time for floral availability, which also means the sky is the limit when it comes to styling your big day. Our favourite wedding palette during this season? Pretty pastels!
Spring is predictable weather-wise
This is especially helpful for those planning an outdoor celebration. The temperatures are often mild in September-November, and there’s generally A LOT less humidity floating around as well. Perfect!
Spring is the ideal backdrop for golden hour cocktails
That soft glow just before sunset is magical.
